This PEG 200 meets the requirements necessary to produce the highest quality fatty acid esters.
Esters based on PEGs provide valuable surface active properties. They are classed as nonionic surfactants and are not affected by acids or hard water, an advantage over anionic or cationic soaps. These characteristics have been found valuable in the textile, agricultural, paper, personal care and cosmetics industries.
This PEG 200 is produced to meet the requirements of the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) monograph for direct and indirect use in a variety of food-related applications. Food additive clearances are listed in Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
